Scandia 3.3 MW Ground-Mount Solar Array

Conti was contracted to engineer procure, construct and commission a 3.3 MW dc ground mount solar array on a farm field in Scandia, MN.

Conti managed all aspects of the work required to install an RBI ground mount racking system, REC modules, Chint string inverters, and associated pad mounted equipment to interconnect the system to three pole top interconnections. In addition to the solar equipment, Conti installed a screening berm to meet the City of Scandia’s Conditional Use Permit issued for the project, and a sedimentation basin and culvert, to meet the state’s strict stormwater prevention and pollution regulations.

Conti faced several challenges on this project which included a tight timeline, uneven terrain, and a new geographical area for Conti where the subcontractors and utility were new to Conti. Despite these challenges, Conti was able to complete the project by the expected due date in December of 2017.

Despite the tight schedule, uneven terrain and working in a new geographical area, Conti was able to complete the project on time.
